The ultimate gluten free bread

14 3

Freshly baked bread smells like comfort, home and joy. Since I do not eat gluten and I am avoiding the bakeries, I miss this rich scent. After some disastrous attempts of baking gluten free bread at home, I finally created a recipe which will for sure be used again and again in my kitchen. This bread was inspired by the cheese bites of the other day. You can add ham, bacon or sausage to its dough as well as any type of cheese you like, but its only optional. My bread’s texture is finally perfect (at least for me), you can slice it nicely and it is very delicious. I’m so happy i can finally have a slice of bread for breakfast again! :)

  • 1 c rice flour
  • 1 c all purpose gluten free flour
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 c chopped sausage (optional)
  • 1 c cubed Trappist cheese (optional)
  • 2 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 7 g gluten free baking powder

Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Line a pan with baking paper and scoop the mixture into the pan. Bake the dough on 170 celsius for 20-25 minutes. Take a toothpick or thin knife and plunge it into the bread. If it comes out clean, the bread can be taken out of the oven.

Hmm… the melted cheese and sausage in a crunchy, but smooth dough, it is seriously priceless!
