Chocolate chip banana cookies

I found this amazing site with unbelievably easy and tasty recipes. Its called Minimalist Baker and the magicians behind it are Dana and John.  Dana is a wonderful cook and photographer and she follows three simple rules: the recipe can have maximum 10
ingredients, you only need one bowl to prepare it and not more than 30 minutes. Isn’t this the coolest thing ever?

The below recipe is based on Dana’s Chocolate chip banana bread bites with some minor modifications. They turned out like our favorite Milka choco cookie biscuits. The cookies were ready in 25 minutes (including baking) and they were super yummy! From the below portion I made 18 cookies, so all in all one cookie has 66 calories. Better than the Milka one, and believe me, it does taste the same.

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp crushed walnuts
  • 2 tbsp chopped almond
  • 3/4 c / 70 g oatflour
  • 1/3 c / 50 g chocolate chip (add only 2/3 of it to the dough and keep the rest for the topping)

Preheat the oven for 170 degrees. Mash the banana, add all the ingredients and mix until well combined. Add a spoon full of dough sized dough to the baking paper at once, until you have 18 small islands of chocolaty nutty yummy dough. Sprinkle them with the remaining chocolate chips. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes. There top has to be nice brown and crispy, while their inside is still silky and smooth.
